Inter Class Elocution Competition Hindi
(Group and Solo)

An Inter class Hindi Elocution (group and solo) was held on 25th April ’09. The children put in their heart and soul to beat each other in the competition. Although everyone tried to outshine one another but the efforts of a few students shone through. The competition that took place was of a different level because of the kind of poems that were recited. The best poem recited by Class I ‘Chuha Bola’ got the maximum attention as they were very expressive. The poem that was applauded the most in the solo group was by Priyank Jain ‘Chakkar Pe Chakkar’. The event was overall a success and the participants as well as the audience enjoyed themselves a lot. The competition was judged by our Principal Mrs. Poonam Kochitty along with teachers Mrs.Archana Mishra, Mrs Neera Tayal and Ms.Jayanti. The competition was held in two categories (group and solo). The classes were divided into three groups. 1). Primary - Class I to IX 2). Junior - Class VI to VIII 3). Senior - Class IX to XII The result was as follows: Group I to V

ENGLISH READING COMPETITION
Group and Solo (Inter Class)
The new session this year began with the reading competition which took place on 15th April. The children put their best foot forward and even the class teachers gave their students enough encouragement. The children rehearsed with great enthusiasm. The end result that was presented before the judges was a commendable effort on the part of all the students. They read their particular paragraphs and passages intently and were very expressive while reading. The competition was judged by Principal Ma’am- Mrs Poonam Kochitty, along with other judges who were Mr. Sanjay Sarkar, Ms. Sneha Kochitty and Mrs. Nishi Jaiswal. The Competition was held in two categories – group and solo. The classes were divided into three groups Primary – I to V

Inter house Hand Writing Competition (English)
Date: 18th April ‘09
The next event that grabbed the lime light was the hand writing Competition. It was held on 18th April. The children were instructed to write the passages given to them by their teachers in their best possible handwriting. Even the ones who do not have a presentable writing gave it a shot and the result was worthy of applause. The competition was conducted in the class and the class teacher on her discretion selected the best five which were then handed over to Principal Ma’am for the final verdict. The classes were divided into the following groups. - Primary - Class I to V
- Junior - Class VI to VIII
- Senior - Class IX to XII
The results were as follows: Primary: First - Preeti Verma of class - II (Raman) Second - Saumya Vats of class - I (Raman) Third - Prakhar Agarwal of class - III (Aryabhatta)

Inter house Art Competition
The event which attracted the attention of the students was the inter house art competition. Topics were given to the students before hand. They were very prompt in preparing the particular topics to the best of their abilities. The Art competition came as a breath of fresh air after so many literary competitions. It was judged by Mr. Sanjay Sarkar on various parameters. The competition was held in four groups and topics allotted accordingly. Group I - Class I to III Aquarium Group II – Class IV to VII Water Park Group III – Class VIII to X Transportation of the Future Group IV – Class XI to XII Meeting an Alien Some of the art work was pretty innovative and interesting. Quiz Competition
In this contemporary world competition is becoming cut throat and for the students to have the cutting edge they need to be smart and well aware. Keeping this in mind an Inter house Quiz Competition was organized related to the states and capitals of India and capitals of various countries. The First round of the quiz comprised of a questionnaire - on Indian states and capitals which was a tie. The other two rounds decided the winners and the runners – ups. Scoring through bonus points Bhaskar house stood first with 26 points. With 24 points Bose house stood second. Raman house stood third with 18 points whereas Aryabhatta with 12 points stood fourth. All the houses actively participated and we hope to conduct more such competitions with the same zeal and endeavour.
Inter House Handwriting Competition

Before the school closed down for the summer vacations we had an Inter House Hindi Handwriting Competition on 2nd May 09’. The children were given passages selected by the teachers before hand. Students were also instructed to follow the guidelines given by the respective Hindi teachers. Everyone tried to outshine the other. Some of the students made such a good effort that it was really commendable. The teacher selected the best five handwriting sheets which were than handed over to Principal Ma,am for the final judgment.
The classes were divided into the following groups: 1. Primary Class I to V 2. Junior Class VI to VIII 3. Senior Class IX to XII The results of the handwriting competition were as follows:
