The strength
of a society is dependant on the collective
vitality and well being of its students. If
knowledge is power then certainly health is
wealth. Sports are an essential requirement
for the holistic development of an individual’s
personality. A sport teaches one, the value
of teamwork, fair play and imparts capacity
to treat success and failure alike.
Presently, we possess one outdoor stadium with
facilities for Football and Cricket and there
are three playing grounds for indigenous games
like Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, etc. We have an indoor
playing hall for games like Table-Tennis, Chess,
Carrom, etc. The school has a park with state
of art swings and slides. Another feather in
its cap is a 18 meter long ‘Swimming Pool’ .
Qualified staffs are in charge of games and
Physical Education. Students are required to
pick one compulsory sports activity from a long
list of sports facility provided by the school
like Martial Arts, Swimming, Horse Riding, Basket
Ball, Lawn Tennis, Football, and Cricket. This
is not an exhaustive list of sports facilities
provided.
In pursuance of its claim to inculcate Indian
values in its students, the school lays great
emphasis on Yoga. The school believes that Yoga
is much more than a mere activity; it is a way
of living, hence, it is a compulsory part of
the daily curriculum for all the students.
